What a present

Christmas has come ..

I went for the annual Christmas party at the First Baptist Church, at the end of the alley. I figured out that big gifts were not the nicest ones and that the sounds produced by the gifts were not important. So, when it was my turn to pick my gift, I fingered the remaining presents, testing their weight, trying to imagine what each contained. In the end, I picked a heavy, compact box, which was wrapped in shiny silver foil and a red ribbon. It was a 12-pack of Life Savers.

For the rest of the day, I rearranged the sweets over and over again, according to my favourites. Winston received an authentic miniature replica of a World War II submarine. Vincent received an incomplete chess set, that was being used before.

I wasn't very pleased with my mother's behaviour. She was sarcastic when she thanked the unknown benefactor. At the church, she said it cost too much, however, at home, she told Vincent to throw it away. But my brothers ignored her.

I just can't stand it! Argh!
